Our guest on The Playboy Advisor Show on Playboy Radio (Sirius/XM 99) on June 23, 2010 was Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, whom the Washington Post has called “Dr. Ruth with a yarmulke.” He's the father of nine children and the author of 16 books, including his first and best known, Kosher Sex: A Recipe for Passion and Intimacy, which was excerpted in the January 1999 issue of Playboy. He's since written The Kosher Sutra, Kosher Adultery: Seduce and Sin With Your Spouse, Dating Secrets of the Ten Commandments and, most recently, Renewal: A Guide to the Values-Filled Life. We also spoke with theologian William Phipps, author of two controversial books, Was Jesus Married? The Distortion of Sexuality in the Christian Tradition, published in 1970, and The Sexuality of Jesus, published in 1996. Phipps argues that Jesus was in fact married. The likely candidate? Mary Magdalene, who appeared to be the only woman who traveled with Jesus and the apostles.
